Osaka Fishing Tackle Show 2014 - Day 3

Day  3 is the last day of the show, yesterday we experienced some snow that closed many highways down making it hard for people to get to the exhibition so today was going to be a busy one.

Today I arrived earlier to the show as much less drinking happened the night prior, this gave me to oppurtunity to take some pics of the queue and the people rushing in through the doors - its a spectacle in itself that can only be compared with the boxing day sales crowds where every one is in a mad panic to get the best deal except here its all about getting to see certain items before the crowds get so think that you can not get near anything.

There was a buzz in the air  at the show as it was packed like nothing else, within 30 minutes you could not move. Its amazing how many people that they can cram into one place so fast. only 12 hours prior it was snowing but inside was like a sauna, so many people.

At this years show Gan Craft had their own stage on the stand, I was asked to go on stage twice. The first time was as part of the eging staff with Sharcrazy team members and then as part of 4 with hat is considered to be Japanese fihsing royalty.

This was very humbling and I was very honored to be called up on stage with Mr Hiraiwa, Masaki Onaka and Keji Hasegawa. None of these guys can walk around the show with out an entourage to keep them moving as they are so popular and famous here. I spoke very some very bad Japanese, some English and also some Engrish on stage, you find that when you are trying to communicate with non english speaking people you dont speak proper english just very bad broken english, you are not aware of even doing it untill you see some video or some one tells you. Hard habit to break.

It was an awesome day catching up with a lot of good people I have met in previous shows and also the new people who I talk to often via facebook and blogging - massive thanks to all who came to visit me at the show.
